Google Technology: PidgeonRank

Ever wondered how Google manages to search the internet and rank the pages so quickly? The answer can be found here on the Google Technology page. It's simple: the searches are powered by pidgeons, arranged in clusters (Pigeon Clusters, or 'PC's). It is also cost-effective as these pigeons are simply those found on the street, collected by specially-trained pigeon-harvesting dogs (PHDs).

Fantastic! There are even loads of statistics and graphs and things to prove why it's so efficient!

Hmmm. In case you hadn't guessed, this was an April Fools' Day special (like the holiday logos for special occasions). If you want to know how the page-rank thingy they use now works, you can look at www.google.com/technology/.
